Spring 2019 Student Businesses

For Intro to Entrepreneurship (BUS 130) class, students focus on actively going through the entrepreneurial process, from idea generation and opportunity evaluation to planning and launch of a business. Students partake in a 3-week long competition then pitch at the MCC Shark Tank. Students also donate their net-profit to the Lowell Boys and Girls Club.

In total, students this semester are donating $1,539.77

This brings our overall donations over the years to $10,722

The students work so hard and really make MCC proud. Businesses included baked goods, jewelry, soap, chap stick, phone cases, and much more! Check out some of the awesome work they’ve done below.

This year we had 2 MCC Shark Tanks where students were able to pitch what they did – what kinds of marketing they pursued, what traction they had (revenue, customers, net profit, feedback, financials), and what they learned overall. At each contest, 3 winners were chosen.
